1. Crib mattresses are available in two primary types: foam and innerspring. Some high-end crib mattress designs feature both a spring core and one or more inches of memory foam.
2. Our crib mattress selection includes many hypoallergenic crib mattresses, with materials that are resistant to bacteria, dust mites, and more.
3.
Mini crib mattresses offer the same comfort and support as their larger "siblings," but their dimensions vary a lot, so be sure to double check all measurements before buying.
4.
Crib mattress pads have a washable, waterproof cover that protects against spills and stains. They're a must for extending the life of baby's foam mattress.
5. Our
bassinet pads are soft, comfortable, and absorbent (and color coordinated). Place them under or over a regular sheet for extra wetness protection.
6.
Cradle pads that feature a vinyl surface can be cleaned in a snap - or a wipe. Just wipe down the waterproof surface and it's ready for baby.
7. Government regulations state that a crib mattress must be at least 27 1/4 inches wide by 51 5/8 inches long - you shouldn't be able to fit more than two fingers between the mattress and crib.
8. With baby mattresses, firmer is actually better - and safer. The Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends a firm, flat mattress.
9. Six inches is the maximum height or thickness of crib mattresses in keeping with federal safety requirements.
10. Our crib mattresses are both affordable and highly durable. Some of the mattress brands we carry offer warranties ranging from 10 years to 25 years.
