Description
There are so many things to rave about with the Kasco Marine Model 1400JF 1/4HP Floating Aerating Fountain, we wonder where to even begin! This floating fountain can operate in as little as 12 inches of water, and in up to half acre of pond. It includes 5 different interchangeable nozzles to create 5 different fountain patterns, and will bring magic to any backyard. It has the strength of an industrial fountain, meets the UL and CSA standards for safety in water, and has been proven to have a higher water flow rate than the competition. Using low RPM technology, this 1/4 HP motor operates highly efficiently, drawing only 3.1 running amps on 120V. This means lower operating costs, longer life for the seals and bearings, and less clogging. The motor is housed in a stainless steel can that is filled with environmentally friendly oil for excellent heat dissipation. All exposed metal is stainless steel. Minimal maintenance includes cleaning the stainless steel housing and removing clogs. All Kasco products are ETL approved to UL and CSA standards as complete packages for safety in water. Order with or without the optional lighting package to enjoy fantastic views. All of this ships fully assembled with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty.

Today I got this unit for my pond. The pond is only 8 ft by 5 ft yet this fountain can accomodate such a small body of water and not overwelm the pond. This wasn't advertized, but their are actually 7 patterns instead of the five. You can remove all nozzles, leave the upper pump housing installed, and get a 3 ft tall heavy geyser. Or you can remove the upper pump housing without the Eagle or Hawk and get a heavier cone effect. If you have at least a 6 ft by 5 ft pond with at least 15 in deep this unit will work perfectly. Just choose the nozzle, set the unit in the water, anchore it, find a place for the controler, plug it in, and relax to the soothing sound of splashing water. Looks even better at night with the lighted fountain.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It's in a pond about 1/4 acer in my front lawn so I wanted to look nice and it looks great I want another one soon.
It was easy to install and it will be easy to change the fountain funtions when i want.
