Bought this as a gift for a dear friend who recently lost her parents. The bench is very pretty, appears sturdy and was easy to assemble. Shipping was quick and free! I am adding an engraved plaque to complete. Would definitely purchase again. This is the second memorial bench I have purchased from hayneedle.com and I would continue to purchase from the site.

Some previous reviews initially made me rule this bench out, but I couldn't find anything I liked with a price under $1500. The bench is not sturdy enough to become an heirloom, but it's well constructed enough to stand up to the light use in a protected entry for which it's intended.
CONS: It is a lightweight bench and the color on the one I received was a lighter, redder shade. PROS: It's a comfortable, attractive bench and a value for the price. Also, a problem with a flaw in one panel of the wood was quickly resolved by customer service.

This was a gift from garden club members to their President. Finish and quality a bit disappointing. Packaging did not protect the wood, that had a couple of dents which we had to attempt to minimize, and some of the stain in parts had rubbed off to a lighter color. Drilled holes were two on one side where only one was required, and none the other end! Design is nice. Otherwise it was acceptable. Would probably choose a higher quality if I had to do it again. Recommended with reservations.

The color of the wood is more red than the picture. This was easy to assemble, only took about 15 minutes. 10 screws and you're done. The bench feels very sturdy. I wiped it down and my rag ended up with red on it. I hope this doesn't get on peoples clothes when they sit down. The packaging must have been inadequate because the box arrived damaged with holes. I found some of the screws and the allen wrench in the grass. The others were loose in the box. I did manage to find all the pieces and I'm very happy with my purchase.
