My 65 inch wind chime was purchased on May 7, 2011. Since then the strings have broken twice, in less than two years. I have made my own repairs, but that is difficult because the chimes are heavy and bulky, and there is no way to reach the bar inside of the chimes where the string is attached. I have not been able to replace the string and have just re-tied the strings that broke, causing the chimes to hang at different lengths, which looks ungainly.

I have not sent the chimes back for a proper repair because of the difficulty of packaging them, the cost of the shipping, and the potential re-stringing charge of $25 - at the company's discretion. The five-year warranty is nice to have, but the hassle and cost of returning the chimes to Virginia makes me reluctant to do so until I am no longer able to jury-rig a fix. What if they just break again??

The sound of these chimes is magnificent.

Comments about Corinthian Bells 65 Inch Wind Chime:

A light breeze, as advertised, will not move chimes, other than to create an annoying hum from time to time. When we move the flag manually to cause the striker to hit the tubes, the sound is not as mellow as the one we heard on one of your displays. We were careful to hang the chime per the instructions but they are very heavy for two average people to handle.

Comments about Corinthian Bells 65 Inch Wind Chime:

These bells are stunning. The deep, rich tones of the pipes reverberate leaving their haunting sound in the garden long after the breeze has stilled. The plate at the bottom is quite large, and catches the smallest breeze, treating us to a delightful melody mcuh of the time.

          Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was prompt, and the bells were packaged securely in their box.

              Customer Q & A

              3 Questions About This Product
Q: "Why are the 65 inch Corinthian wind chimes so much more expensive than the 74 inch Corinthian wind chimes, QM019?"
A: The 65 inch windchime has tubes that are short and very thick to produce that deep key of D sharp sound, whereas the 74 inch windchime has long skinny tubes. Also the 65 inch has a larger and heavier pendulum and requires special wires to attach it to the chime. So overall the costs of making the 65 inch windchime is higher than the 74 inch.
Q: "Do you have the replacement clip that holds the cords?"
A: Currently we do not sell any type of replacement parts for the wind chimes.
              Q: "What is the diameter?"
              A:

The overall diameter is 8 1/2".
