About Cedar Wood
Cedar wood is lightweight and resistant to both cracking and moisture rot. The oils of this resilient wood guard against insect attack and decay, and their distinctive aroma acts as a mild insect repellant. Cedar is a dependable choice for outdoor furniture, either as a finished or unfinished wood. Over time, unfinished cedar left outdoors will weather to a silvery gray patina. This natural process does not compromise the strength or integrity of the wood.
Another great aspect of cedar is its environmental effect - which is minimal. A renewable resource, cedar wood emits low greenhouse gases. So rest assured knowing that your beautiful cedar product is a green choice, too!

This is an update to my original revirew. I bought this as an ornamental garden bridge. Based on the price I knew it shouldn't be used for an adult to stand on for any length of time - or any other heavy use. I wanted it basically as an inspiration for a Japanese Garden area. In my opinion, the bridge was very easy to assemble - you just need some basic handy-work skills and some common sense. It was exactly what I expected it to be. For anyone considering this as a bridge for daily use of adults standing on it, I would advise against it, for that you should go for one of the thousand dollar bridges instead. If you want something that looks nice near your pond or garden, this will do it for you. See my photo of the bridge in our garden.

Railings did not fit well at all.. one side was fine the other barely fit into place.. Wood is cheap and if it wasnt for predrilled holes wood would crack, some peices did crack.. some predrilled holes ended up not being flush with the frame. Overall.. you get what you pay for.. For [$] it was fine with me.. would of cost me that much in supplies to make myself and the reason for buying it was to replace the one I built myself. I wanted something a little nicer looking and professional looking.. Overall it served its purpose and I am fairly happy with it.. NOTE: I wouldnt jump up and down on it though.. the 500lbs limit is prolly a stretch.. more like 250.. Also the three board frame caused me some problems as it wasnt flush with the ground I put it on, so had to do the napkin thing you have to do with those cheap tables at a restaurant..

I bought this as an ornamental garden bridge. Based on the price it was obvious to me that this is not intended for an adult to stand on for any length of time or any other heavy foot traffic. I wanted it basically for dressing up my garden area. In my opinion, the bridge was very easy to assemble - you just need some basic handy-work skills and some common sense.
