I put this tub, the only one in the house, in our guest bath and my husband and I use it more than our large shower in our master bath. The deep soak is fantastic and there is plenty of deck space around it for soaps and shampoos. It even has arm rests if you like to read in the bath. And I love the interesting basin shape, very pretty and transitional in design.

I followed the cleaning instructions provided in response to a previous customer's complaint. It barely can pump the recommended hot water and it occasionally blows bubbles rather than producing a solid liquid stream. As suggested, I have been using a pure liquid soap with no micro-beads. It worked fine for the first six months after we got it, but then it became a headache to restart whenever it lost its prime. Now it just doesn't work at all. I suspect that there is a leak somewhere that lets air in and prevents adequate suction. Based on the fact that all customer feedback is complaining about the same thing, it is time for American Standard to recall and replace these. This product just does not meet the quality I expect from them.

Terrible

By tonka

Comments about American Standard Retrospect Pedestal Sink:

Just recently bought this sink and drain to match.  The drain did not fit as the bottom of the sink was too wide so the thread did not reach.  We bought the drain that was specific to this sink.  Called American Standard and they told us tough luck.  Terrible way to run a company

Love my sink but hate the crack

By 1brokenheartandsink

from Pueblo, CO, United States

Comments about American Standard Retrospect Pedestal Sink:

I dropped a heavy pan and the sink cracked all the way across, it did not crack completely through but it did crack and it happened just a month past the warranty date. It practically makes me cry every time I see it. I spent a lot of money to remodel my kitchen in the right period style to maintain my historic home.

A great addition to any kitchen!

By PREINA

Comments about American Standard Retrospect Pedestal Sink:

I've recommended the purchase and installation of this sink in several new homes and remodels that I've designed and will continue to do so! I find the overall design to be clean-looking and with a very pleasing design! The product is solid and will serve the home owner for years and years.

We were looking for something that would go with our existing motif in the kitchen, but would provide more space. Country Kitchen fit the bill in prove and the right "look" for our home.

Quality faucet and a reasonable price

By Zeno

Pros

  • Easy To Install
  • functions smoothly

Cons

Comments about American Standard Retrospect Pedestal Sink:

This faucet really made the sink in our kitchen look much nicer. Installing it was straight forward. We have an old farm style sink and this style fits right in. There are higher end faucets on the market with smoother operating mechanisms but for the price I'm impressed with the quality and functionality.

      Cons

      • Nosal design too thin

      Best Uses

Comments about American Standard Retrospect Pedestal Sink:

This was the closes replacement soap dispenser I could find for the affordable price. Works great and the price was perfect. I would prefer to have nosal thicker and sort of rectangular design so you could push on nosal if you needed soap, like the original one. With this design you are forced to push on very top of plunger.
