The lamp is well made and I really like the remote and the adjustable mount. The heat is too widely disbursed and does not really warm very well. Also, the lamp is very bright. It should be made with a directional shade.

Product was of good quality, but the heating radius was inadequate - 6-8' at best. Certainly not a "patio" heater, just a "spot" heater for small area near mounting location. Also the additional light and orange glow created by this sort of electric heating unit was unwelcome when it came to enjoying the night sky, not to mention that it is too bright to sit facing the unit and enjoy a conversation with someone as it's like looking into the headlights of a car. No variable temperature control. Hayneedle's customer service, however, was wonderful when it came to having to return the unit.
