I went to the 2 Day Design web site and saw that they use many different stain colors. The color shown in the photo is pine, but the one I received is definitely more dark cherry. They must make them as they receive orders because it smells like it has just been oiled or varnished and the smell is so intense it can't even be inside the house - much less the dining room. I have had it for 5 days and am leaving it in the garage in the opened box so it can air out. I was so excited to get it, love the look, it is heavy, has smooth swivel action and will last forever. This is EXACTLY what I wanted for the dining room and haven't seen anything comparable, but I will have to return it if the smell doesn't dissipate.

I'm pretty sure this is not reclaimed wood. It looks like basic hardware store 1x5 beaten up a bit with a chain or something.

I'm pretty sure this is not reclaimed wood. It looks like basic hardware store 1x5 beaten up a bit with a chain or something.

Wrong color, not as shown, paid a lot for personalization ,woodburning/stamp applied on a big knot so its unreadable . Very disapointing especially at the price they charge.

I purchased this Lazy Susan for my kitchen table. After reading all of the reviews, I thought I would take a chance and order anyway. Yes, the wood is stained a dark cherry color rather than the lighter color as pictured. The wood, however, is beautiful, thick and has a 'knotty' rustic look. It does smell like stain, so I am setting it outdoors on my patio until the smell goes away. The swivel works great. I do have a lot of red in my kitchen, so this piece really compliments it well. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.
