Got them on clearance with Free Shipping, AWESOME deal and being able to use indoors and out : ) if no fuel handy, can use candles instead, GREAT alternative!!!

I recently ordered this firepot and when I received it the ceramic bowl on the large pot was broken. I returned it with no problems and had them ship me a new one. When I received the second package, after carefully opening the box, I discovered the ceramic bowl was again broken. It appears the mfg does not package the product correctly and the smaller piece sits on top of the large one, thus during shipment it causes the lower bowl to break. I have returned the pkg and will not reorder. The set is beautiful, just wish I could get one in one piece.

Had purchased this set from a different site, but wanted to write a review here to warn others about a serious and dangerous potential these have. We'd used these on a deck a few times; the most recent time we had both going while guests were sitting out there. I came out once and noticed the tabletop one had gone out. When I went over to see if it had run out of fuel, I noticed the ceramic container that holds the gel had broken along the rim that holds it in place and the rest had dropped down to the table underneath and thankfully extinguished (or the gel might have burned up before it had broken). A little while later, the floor-standing one broke the exact same way! The inside of the pedestal is completely empty, so when the ceramic container broke, it fell to the wood floor underneath and the impact sent flaming gel all over the inside of the piece in a little explosion. If someone had been standing near it, they might have gotten flaming gel on them... thankfully the gel seemed to burn itself out almost immediately or the deck might have gone up in flames.
I would highly recommend not purchasing this set or anything else by the company that makes these. Obviously there is a serious design flaw in their making. Regardless of the maker or style of fire bowl, I would also highly recommend not leaving them unattended -- EVER!
