Comments about Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300 Metal Detector:
The detector will only find quarter sized coins up to 3-4 inches deep. That is with the 10.25 inch coil that I bought seperately from bounty hunter. Of which they claim is meant for greater depth finding. The old silver coins are deeper in the ground than 3 to 4 inches. Not only are all the coins I found in that 0-4 inch range but with the air test it will not detect further away than 3-4 inches. The ground balance feature in my area is best at the preset position or slightly higher. It makes it give false readings if you adjust it too high. Some one had stated in a youtube video that adjusting it higher "he thought", helps detect deeper. It does not. Same results of 3-4 inches with the air test.

Comments about Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300 Metal Detector:
Only thing that I'd like to see on this product is more detailed info on how to use. Tried it in the yard and come up with so many hits, (mainly trash items) and I'm finding it hard to discern what is what.

Comments about Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300 Metal Detector:
The metal detector is lightweight, the armrest is pretty small, and a little tight on my average size forearm. The detector is pretty accurate right out of the box. On pennies and quarters I rarely get a false reading. Nickels frequently register wrong, but that's common even on more expensive detectors. The owner's manual is very helpful and had some faqs that helped with setting up the detector. The zap feature is amazing, if you go over trash you can press one button and discriminate it out the rest of your session.
The only reason for the 4 out of 5 rating is the armrest, and the battery case seems like its going to break evertime I open it.
I'd recommend this for any beginner that wants good features at a low price.
