The Britax Frontier 85 SICT Combination Harness - 2 - Booster Car Seat - Onyx is designed with advanced safety features to reduce impact and increase comfort. It helps safely graduate children who are at least two years old and weigh at least 25 pounds from their convertible car seats. By removing the harness, the Frontier 85 SICT is easily converted to a booster seat for older children who are at least 4 years old and 40 pounds. The Frontier 85 SICT has all the safety, comfort, and ease-of-use features that will put your mind at ease. It's equipped with Side Impact Cushion Technology (SICT) for advanced side-impact protection, and an easy-remove cover that can be removed for cleaning without disassembling the harness or uninstalling the seat from your vehicle. This new model has removable pads with velcro. I had to cut the pads off the original Frontier seat. Then you have to throw them away. The seat is taller now, so the harness can be used longer. The new side impact plastic pieces do add some bulk and quite a bit of weight, but I know they were added to better protect children's heads from hitting too hard in a side impact crash. I'm very very happy with this purchase!
