Description
The soft elegance of the Carolina Daybed is inspired by the tranquil atmosphere of the Carolina coast. This daybed features vertical slats and gentle arches on the side and back boards for an open, inviting look that will add a welcoming presence to your home. A daybed support system is included. The Carolina employs traditional style and a hardwood construction to ensure this daybed remains in your family for years to come. Note: Trundle is optional and not included with the basic set. To include, select in the Value Package field.
A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed, which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. Daybeds.com's optional trundle packages include a metal, pop-up trundle. They can be left in the lowered position or elevated in the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin-size daybed into a king-size bed.

Ilove the daybed. The screws for holding the springs were too long and poked the trundle mattress, so we put in new shorter bolts. The bed looks great and is comfortable. We did purchase the more expensive mattresses, because we definetly wanted comfort.

I ordered this daybed in the white finish. It is a very pretty bed. My concern is with a good mattress the arm pieces are almost covered. We placed the mattress support at the lowest level and it is quite high. When my 35 pound granddaughter crawls up onto the daybed, you can hear the legs slide as it sinks slightly in the middle. We made extra sure all the screws were tightly in place. I am going to see if there is a way to lower the mattress base which will require drilling more holes. This sounds like a lot of complaints, but I am pleased with the daybed. It took my husband and I about 30 minutes to assemble.

Very high quality materials. Feels sturdy and solid. Really a nice design. It is simple and classic--not dominating the room as some wood daybeds.
