Description
The Burr Oak Foosball Table has a classic look that will have you playing and feeling like a pro in no time.
The Carrom Burr Oak Foosball Table is finely constructed using only the most durable materials to provide years of rugged playtime enjoyment. Its cabinet and legs are covered with a heavy, glossy vinyl, which is resistant to wear and use. The vinyl on the legs and the leg materials will also resist denting by a vacuum cleaner. Heavy-duty, triple-chrome-plated rods ensure long term, smooth action, and attractive looks. Players are hand-painted so that no two are exactly the same. Each team, however, has identical uniforms. Rubber handles provide a sure, cushioned grip on the non-bending polished control rods. You have the option of a single goalie for the traditional foosball game, or a three-player goalie for tournament-style play. The playfield is perfectly flat with corner inserts for the single-goalie option to keep the ball in active play. Dimensions: 55L x 29W x 36H inches.
This game is finely constructed by Carrom in Ludington, Michigan using only the most durable of construction materials to provide years of rugged playtime enjoyment.

I played foosball competitively many years ago, and recently decided to buy a table for game room. My priorities for selecting a table were: decent playing characteristics; sturdy construction; an appearance that would blend into the room; and fair price with reasonable shipping cost. After much study, reading on-line reviews, and looking at products locally, I purchased this Carrom table and am delighted with it. Admittedly, you don't have quite the feel and exquisite ball control found on a $2000 table, and if you don't have the table level, you will have a dead spot or two... but overall this is a great product at a fair price -- for both adults and kids who are playing at the recreational level. My only caution is to be patient during the assembly and carefully read the directions. It is easy enough to put together, but the drawings and text in the instructions are not as clear as they should be. [...]

Generally speaking the table is suitable for beginner or home use. It has several dead spots which are frustrating. The instructions are very poor. I recieved the table with the wrong size bolts and missing a player[...] The playing field doesn't sit well in it routered grooves. If you set it up for a one-man goalie the plasitc corner pieces don't sitck well to the playing field. Some parts are make in China and some in US so to say it is US made would be untrue. I feel it is adequate for a beginner or casual player but I had expected more.

Comments about Carrom Burr Oak Foosball Table:
I guess you get what you pay for, and we didn't want to pay $1500 for a foosball table. I was hoping that by spending a little more than rock-bottom, we'd get a satisfactory table, but overall I'm disappointed. This table is okay; it is very sturdy, and it has a nice green field instead of a black one (like another similarly-priced option). Having played around a little with other tables in stores, however, I noticed the rods don't move nearly as smoothly as I would have hoped; they're okay, but not great. (And the guys are definitely not counterbalanced, which means you can't leave a guy flipped up; actually, some of the guys on our table do stay flipped up, but that's just because of the friction between the rod and the rod hole - see previous comment on the fact that the rods don't spin as smoothly as I would have hoped). At least two rods were slightly bent out-of-the-box, making the movement of those rods even less smooth than the others. Maybe I should have asked for replacements, but I didn't. The entire set of rod bumpers was missing from the box we received; Carrom customer service consists of exactly one person, but after I finally connected with her, the bumpers arrived three days later. Assembly was okay; it took my husband (who is probably average in ability when it comes to these types of endeavors) about three hours to put it together (although apparently dealing with the screws was a bear). All in all, I think this table will be fine for our 11-year-old son and his friends to knock around on, but I don't think it would be at all satisfactory to a high school crowd, especially if they had played on nice tables somewhere else.

Comments about Carrom Burr Oak Foosball Table:
Solid table, easy to pass ball from player to player. Smooth action on rod handling. A few dead spots on table but I could level it a little more. The only thing I didn't like was that you have to leavel it yourself with shims. You can't tell from the picture but the feet come off and shims are put inside, they recomend cardbord on the instruction but I cut wood shims down to size since carbord tends to compress. Other then that good sturdy professional quility table.

Comments about Carrom Burr Oak Foosball Table:
Overall it's a great table for the price. Pros - solid construction. It has that solid "thunk" sound when you hit a ball off the side wall. It just feels like an adult foosball table, which was very nice because I was worried about getting something that felt cheap and light. I'm 33 and I've played most of my life (but not an expert) and this is certainly up to par for me. Cons - you've got to really lay out the pieces before assembling it. Some of the fasteners look very similar to others and you can get them confused because the instructions are weak. The biggest problem with the table is the men have TOO long/big of heads. When you turn them upside down to let a shot go through, the ball can get deflected by their noggin. And the guys don't stay in place when you try and tilt them parallel with the table. Maybe you can buy new men to solve this problem? Or put them through a sander? It's still a great table though.

Comments about Carrom Burr Oak Foosball Table:
Awesome table for the price. Arrived during the holidays while my kids (12, 12, 8, 6)had cousins visiting. Kids and grownups spent hours playing.
Very sturdy construction. I can see us getting years of use out of it. My brother and brother-in-law put it together in less than three hours. (spray a little oil on the rods after set up) I would buy this table again!
