Comments about The Worm Factory® 3-Tray Worm Composter - Terra Cotta:

My Worm Factory arrived in a really timely manner and the instructions for setting it up were very easy. It is currently sitting in the corner of my kitchen but since I live in Southern California I will be moving it outside. I can't wait until my worm start producing. I really like the terra cotta color.

Comments about The Worm Factory® 3-Tray Worm Composter - Terra Cotta:

Looking forward to actually seeing if this works better than the worm composter I designed which was not as attractive and did not work well after the first consumption of compost. {The worms had no place to go.)

This one is very attractive and matches the terra cotta tile in the kitchen. It has an Asian look which I like. Now I'm anxious to see how if it works as good as it looks and doesn't attract ants or create odors.

                    Customer Q & A

                    2 Questions About This Product
Q: "How many worms do I need to purchase with the cascade compost bin?"
A: You should purchase about 1,000 worms to start your composter. After this initial purchase, the worm count will double every three months!
Q: "I ordered worms from you and they have arrived before my composter. What should I do with the worms until I get the compost bin?
A: The worms can last up to ten days in the packaging they arrived in. (Not the best, but they will last) Give them some water when they arrive.

If you're afraid they won't make it, you can make a temporary home for them instead. Put the worms into a plastic container about the size of a shoe box or bucket. Put some shredded black and white newsprint in the bottom that has been moistened (about the amount of a rung out sponge). This will act as food and bedding until your compost bin arrives and they can be placed into their new permanent home.
