This exclusive full-size daybed offers plenty of space for two sleepers on top, and one below if you order the optional trundle. Surprise guests will never faze you again! And between visits, you can enjoy the daybed's beautiful transitional style yourself. Subtle cottage-style elements enhance the simple design, including rounded post finials and beadboard sides and back made of solid slats of wood. A warm walnut finish covers the sturdy all-wood frame, giving this daybed a stylish appearance to match its reliable construction.
Found only at Hayneedle, this full daybed comes with an optional twin-sized roll-out trundle drawer. Use it empty as a spacious storage drawer, or put up to an 8-inch-thick mattress inside for extra sleeping space for your family or guests. (Trundle does not pop up.) With or without the trundle, your mattress will rest securely on the included wooden slat support system, which is positioned 15 inches above the floor. Assembly required. Ships via common carrier.

I know now that if you were to compare the dimensions of the frame, to the dimensions of a regular full mattress, that it would be too small. But I had never heard of a Full XL size before now. With the correct mattress in place, I am very happy with my daybed. I just wish the description had included the words Full XL somewhere.

We purchased the Casey to act as a couch and a guest bed in our living room--we've got a very large space and need a lot of extra places for people to sleep. While putting it together, I somehow managed to scratch the finish on one of the armrests/sideboards with my *fingernail*. To say I was shocked would be an understatement.
Even with a full bedding set and many pillows along the backboard, any amount of pressure against the backboard can result in it coming free of the mainframe. Clearly we need to shore up the support in the back. It's not unreasonable to expect a teenager to rest back as though the daybed were also a couch, and I think that the backrest should be able to support the weight of a 14 year old girl without cracking.
It's a very lovely piece of furniture, and the trundle is useful to us as both storage and more sleeping space. But we were very disappointed with what is overall a rather flimsy piece of furniture. Had I known the finish was so fragile that a fingernail could damage it, or that a kid could rest back against the pillows and still manage to crack the backboard, I would certainly have thought twice about purchasing.
Looking back, I wish we had gone with a metal frame.

Really, really wish the description read Full XL, not just Full. It means you need a full XL mattress, not a full. I know if you were to look at the dimensions of a mattress and the dimensions of the frame, you would see that a full is too small. But I didn't, and ordered the wrong mattress. Maybe I'm a dummy, but I saw Full Size, I ordered Full size. Other than that, the frame is nice, I am very happy with it now that I have the right size mattress in it. Would have given it 5 stars if the description showed the correct size.

Would have been a perfect rating, but one of the slats were broken...otherwise very happy with order and quick delivery.
