Comments about Cashel G2 Soft Saddle:

This is my second Cashel G2 Soft Saddle and I love them. I have two Tuckers but this saddle only weighs 6 pounds and is so easy to put on the horse. Since they are treeless, you need a very good saddle pad, preferably one that has a cut-out at the withers. This is necessary because since the saddle is treeless, it fits very closely to the horse, which means that it "cuts into" the withers unless you have a thick saddle pad that keeps the saddle from touching the withers. This is VERY important! The only problem I've had with the Cashel saddle is that it is very difficult to cinch up tight enough, but not so tight that I turn my horse into a "peanut." This means that the saddle will slip a lot when riding; fortunately I (currently, lol) have very good balance and can compensate for the slippage. We tend to ride 10-15 miles, 2-3 hours at a time~~that could be why the saddle slips! The reason I have two of these saddles is because the "medium" is actually very small. I am 5'4", 125 pounds and it's too small for me. The "large" fits quite well. Also, I added "EZ endurance" stirrups for my comfort. The saddle, those stirrups, and the girth probably weigh 10 pounds altogether~~pretty darn nice! Yes, I would recommend this saddle, but not to novice riders because of the tendency to slip so much. It's well worth the price. I'll try to post a picture later.
