Description
Smartly designed, the Simply Grow Cedar Potting Bench lets no space go to waste. Every inch of this piece is useful. Here's a look from top to bottom. A small shelf with back is a handy place to store small pots and tools. Next, the slat-top work surface is generously sized and the slatted design allows for excellent air circulation to prevent moisture build-up. A drawer on the left side of the bench will be great for storing seeds, pruners and other tools. Lift the work surface off the right side of the bench to reveal a removable tray. Ideal for carrying things from the potting bench to the garden. Finally, a lower shelf is big enough for pots, watering cans, bags of soil and more and it's also slatted to prevent moisture build up.

The drawer front has been enhanced by the addition of a metal handle in a rubbed brass finish, and several hanging hooks have been added along the back and side of the potting bench. The added storage functions complement the original features, including an oversized work surface, storage for small and large pots, tool storage, and a removable tray for easy transport. You're still getting that durable cedar wood that will resist cracking and moisture rot.

While the potting bench looks very nice, the quality is average at best. When it gets wet, the drawer swells and cannot be opened. I even sanded the sides and the top of the drawer front, and when it rained again, same thing. It takes over two days of summer sun to dry before it can be opened. The legs are flimsy and should be sturdier for the size of the product. Glue used to hold the potting basin is coming out from the seams.

Extremely flimsy. Lots of split and warped wood. Had to reinforce most of it with extra screws. Very poor quality - I expected much better for the price. Would not recommend this item.
