The rugged, commercial-quality Chef'sChoice International 662 8.6 Inch Professional Electric Food Slicer meets the needs of busy home cooks, sportsmen, caterers, and chefs. With a large carriage and tilted design, this slicer handles big hams, roasts, and blocks of cheese quickly and effortlessly while still being precise and gentle enough to address small vegetables, luncheon meats, and crusty bread. The 8.7-inch diameter fully hardened, fine edge, stainless steel blade precisely creates slices from deli-thin to approximately 1/2-inch thick.

Made from die-cast metal, this slicer has an extra large capacity food carriage that rides smoothly on industrial ball bearings. The powerful, high-quality induction motor operates quietly at a peak power of over 1/4 horsepower and is controlled by a safe double-switch system, where one switch turns the unit and the other switch, spring-loaded for additional safety, operates the blade. Rubber feet secure the slicer firmly to the work surface, and thick Plexiglas guards shield the carriage and food pusher. Users can clean the blade while it's in place or remove it safely with the included Plexiglas tool for thorough cleaning and sharpening. A blade sharpener and detailed sharpening instructions are included, as is a handy serving tray.
