I was looking for the perfect final touch when I updated the vintage kitchen in my "new" 1920's home. This clock was the perfect addition to the kitchen. Combined with a retro border with 50's appliances and my vintage cabinets, the kitchen has a fun retro look without being dated. Friends who remember the clock from their youth and young people seeing it for the first time all comment on it. I looked in many stores trying to find a the right clock but cannot imagine a better choice than this timeless classic.

My Kit Kat classic clock was an eagerly anticipated, welcome addition to the kitchen in my "new" vintage home with the original 1950s kitchen. Sadly, my kitty's tail and eyes failed to move back and forth reliably - although the clock kept time, its raison de la vie was to swing! I soon discovered that a plastic and copper disc near the bottom inside the casing hung loose, and was apparently meant to reside securely in an opening just its size, placing it in close proximity to a portion of my kit kat's tail. When I pushed the disc into the portal and it stayed, swinging began! I suppose I should SuperGlue the disc in place, to avoid it becoming jostled, causing all swinging to stop. For when there's no swing to my kitty, I come down with a case of ennui!

Got my Kit Cat clock today. Put in the batteries, put the wagging tail on and hung it on the kitchen wall. Although I really do like the look of it and it brings back precious memories for me - I can't help but think how cheap it sounds! Also - being Canadian I paid a lot of money for a clock made of hard plastic. I would have gladly paid that price and a little more if it were made of ceramic.
Bottom line - I love the nostalgia of having this clock in my home.
