The Columbia Full over Full Bunk Bed is constructed of sturdy hardwood in a Mission style that features stylish slats. It includes 26 steel reinforcement points to give you peace of mind while your children sleep. Each bunk is full-sized, which offers extra room for one or two children to sleep comfortably. The bunk bed can be separated into two full beds.
You can customize this attractive bed to suit your style and your needs. Choose from several beautiful finishes to complement the style of your child's bedroom. Order the bunk bed with an optional under-bed trundle to save space and add extra sleeping space for over-night guests. About Atlantic Furniture
Founded in 1983 as Watercraft, Inc., Atlantic Furniture started as a manufacturer of pine waterbed frames. Since then, the Springfield, Mass.-based company has expanded to Fontana, Calif. The company has moved away from the use of pine and now specializes in imported furniture made of the wood of rubber trees.
The Benefits of Eco-Friendly Rubberwood
Prized as an environmentally friendly wood, rubberwood makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing life cycle. The trees are removed by hand and replaced with new seedlings. In the past, felled rubber trees were either burned on the spot or used as fuel for locomotive engines, brick firing, or latex curing. Now the wood is used in the manufacture of high-end furniture. It is valued for its dense grain, stability, attractive color, and acceptance of different finishes.
Atlantic's Unique Five-Step Finishing Process
Each product in the entire line is finished with a high-build, five-step finishing process. After a thorough sanding, a wipe-on sealer is applied, followed by a tinted sealer to even the grain and color of the wood. Additional sanding prepares the surface for the first base color coat, more sanding, and a second base color coat. After a final sanding, the finish coat is applied. This process produces a beautiful and durable finish that will last for years.

Terrible Rail Construction + Cheap Screw

The rail construction was very shoddy on two of the rails. Whoever made it drilled all the way through and then filled with wood filler. We had to drill out the opening to get the screws to fit. The screws were very cheap and would strip very easily. What should have been an easy project was a total pain all because someone didn't care enough to pay attention to what they were building. We are using these for a Lake House guest room and they will work fine but for the price I would expect a little better quality.

The bed is exactly as anticipated and exactly as shown in the pictures. It is well made and so pretty in our children's room. It arrived quickly and was very easy to assemble. My daughters are thrilled.

This bed was a nightmare from the start. Apon putting it together, 2 men...5-6 hours...the hardware was 50% incomplete. What was received was broken inside the wood, and could not be tightened. The hardware was finally shipped to us....2 weeks later, and we finished the bed. The slats broke immediately when I was making the bed for the first time. totally cheap for such an expensive and good looking bed. I expected quality, and got a bad bed. The trundle is totally flimsy too. Thank goodness for hayneedle...they totally reimbursed me for the bad bed, and did a very good job with customer service.

Quality furniture, but numerous pieces had issues. I had the tools to correct all difeciencies, which were bent hardware for under bed drawers, unmilled holes for bunk pins, screws for bunk bed ladder and side rails were too short. Top bunk headboards were damaged from too much shipping tape on finish and one bed mattress rail was damaged from shipping by either a fork lift and/or pallet jack. Delivery driver didn't seem interested in my observations.

The bunk bed is okay. However I would like to point out the screws to attach the rail are not long enough, so the rail is not as firm as it should. I got longer screws which makes it a little bit better. The drawers have not got a predefined rail so they move all over the place when opening/closing them.
