The Columbia Twin over Full Bunk Bed is the perfect marriage of style and functionality. Sporting a smaller twin bed on top and a full-sized bed on the bottom, this bunk bed is ideal for siblings a couple of years apart. Available in Classic White, Antique Walnut, Caramel Latte, and Natural Maple finish, the durable hardwood construction can hold up to whatever your child can dish out, and it still looks great!
This hardwood twin-over-full bunk bed includes the frame, end panels, guard rails, slats, ladder, and a modesty panel that covers the front of the footboard for a clean, polished look. Secure guard rails and a clip-on ladder provide extra safety for your children. Upper and lower headboards and footboards are designed proportionately to the size of each bunk, and sturdy rails form a reliable structure for years of use. As your children grow, you can even separate the bunk bed into two separate beds - one full and one twin - to give your kids their own personal space.
If you need an extra spot for sleeping, then add the optional trundle bed to your order. This space-saving solution rolls out easily to accommodate another child or a sleepover guest. Or, if toys and clothes are taking over the room, add two optional under-bed drawers to keep things tidy. Each drawer measures 11 inches deep and slides in and out on smooth-rolling caster wheels. Trundle holds a twin size mattress.

Founded in 1983 as Watercraft, Inc., Atlantic Furniture started as a manufacturer of pine waterbed frames. Since then, the Springfield, Mass.-based company has expanded to Fontana, Calif. The company has moved away from the use of pine and now specializes in imported furniture made of the wood of rubber trees.
The Benefits of Eco-Friendly Rubberwood
Prized as an environmentally friendly wood, rubberwood makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing life cycle. The trees are removed by hand and replaced with new seedlings. In the past, felled rubber trees were either burned on the spot or used as fuel for locomotive engines, brick firing, or latex curing. Now the wood is used in the manufacture of high-end furniture. It is valued for its dense grain, stability, attractive color, and acceptance of different finishes.
Atlantic's Unique Five-Step Finishing Process
Each product in the entire line is finished with a high-build, five-step finishing process. After a thorough sanding, a wipe-on sealer is applied, followed by a tinted sealer to even the grain and color of the wood. Additional sanding prepares the surface for the first base color coat, more sanding, and a second base color coat. After a final sanding, the finish coat is applied. This process produces a beautiful and durable finish that will last for years.

Overall I like the bunk bed. What i am most disappointed in is the false advertisement of the "Free Matresses"...you will get a matress in a box...the matresses are like prison matresses. I was sooooo mad..I could have bought a regular matress if i have known i was getting a matress in a box. Your better off just buying the bunk bed and screw the free matresses..Shame on this company for this..you should be more specific about what kind of cheap matress you are getting. or not give out somehting so cheap..even tho this bed is for my kid..i would not let him sleep on that piece of foam you guys call a matress.

Now that it is set up, I am relatively happy. But I am not sure I would do it all over again.
First, here is what I like: It's adequately sturdy and substantial. I like the wood finish and the stain. My son is thrilled and that's what counts.
Here's what I'm not happy about: I chose this bed in particular because it came with two free mattresses. But whoever decided to call these "mattresses" is not very honest. And he certainly doesn't have children... because no parent would want their children to sleep on such uncomfortable and unsubstantial mattresses. They weighed nothing, were super thin, uncomfortable like a futon, and came rolled up in a box like sleeping bags. (I literally took them to the curb and left them out, thinking the only person who might actually make use of them would be a homeless guy.) But wait, there's more....
Delivery and assembly: Since they didn't offer a white glove option that included assembly, I wrongly assumed that it would not be such a huge deal to put the bed together. I'm fairly handy, but boy, was I wrong. The bed came in MANY boxes, and it took a very long time. Also, some of the predrilled holes were not bored out properly so I had to literally dig wood out to create a solid fit.
Finish work: Not a huge deal to me, but a bit disappointed that practically every screw or bolt on the exterior is exposed. They give you four little glue-covered plugs for four places. The glue is like a post-it note, so they will probably last a few more days before my son finds them and decides there is a better use. All the other MANY holes show the metal screws from assembly. Just a small detail, but it will matter to some of you.
To the buyer: If it's still a maybe for you to get a bed from this site, don't be swayed by the free mattress option. And factor in the hiring of someone to do the work.
To the seller: Create a partnership with a delivery company that does assembly!

I have 10 grandchildren so I got the trundle too. This set is a great addition to my home for kids overnights. Solid wood furniture, beautiful finish, and very comfortable.
