I am 230lbs (down from 267lbs). I lost it cycling over the last three months but I needed something to get my overall body in shape and still loose weight (plus changing it up always help). BOY, the first few times...I'm aching all over (in a good way).

You do get what you pay for and this is a much smoother rowing action than ones I have used in the past.

Great Rowing Machine, Dodgy Vendor

Directed to site thru an employee benefits plan that promised 10% off. Period. Hayneedle would not honor their own discount code, citing "exclusions" that were not mentioned.

Comments about Concept2 Model D Indoor Rowing Machine with PM3 Display:

I started out using a rower when I started crossfit. Found it a lot less impactful on my knees (scoped 3x each) and able to wear you out in a hurry.
The concept 2 was extremely easy to use turn it on and away you go. Quality components. Asked the gym owners if they have any issues with them and they raved on the product.
I started a new job and decided that I wanted to buy a rower. I did not have the time to get to the gym. I started pricing them out. Most sites are selling this same rower for around $1k -$1200. I thought that was a little much so I checked Craig's list. Could not find one under $800 that did not need to be repaired. Can't beat price Hayneedle has these for.

Comments about Concept2 Model D Indoor Rowing Machine with PM3 Display:

I BOUGHT MY CONCEPT II ROWER IN 1996 AFTER USING AN OLDER MODEL IN MY CARDIAC REHAB AT THE LOCAL HOSPITAL, AND HAVE USED IT QUITE CONSISTENTLY FOR DAILY WORKOUTS DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER WHEN I COULDN'T BE OUTSIDE WALKING. UNFORTUNATELY I HAD ANOTHER BYPASS SURGERY AND A VALVE REPLACEMENT IN 1999 AND AM STILL USING THE ROWER AS A FORM OF DAILY EXERCISE.
IT IS A WELL DESIGNED AND STURDY MACHINE AND REQUIRES LITTLE MAINTENANCE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
