Born out of necessity in sun-drenched Australia, Coolaroo fabric was developed over 50 years ago. In order to withstand the harsh climate and extreme temperatures of Australia, the fabric was made from tough, durable exterior grade materials. Also unique in its design was the combination of yarns patterned to allow cooling breezes to pass through while repelling heat and harmful UV rays. Homeowners found the effect dramatic and began using Coolaroo as a shade fabric and later as a window shade, making life more bearable in modern day Australia. Coolaroo has grown into a global brand and has adapted to new markets and weather conditions with fabric products that continue to offer homeowners the best protection from heat and harmful UV rays along with energy efficiency. Coolaroo remains committed to environmental responsibility and reducing environmental footprints.

Not yet the season in the Northeast to really block the summer sun, but they are very nice. Put it up and now just waiting for the hot weather. It will be a treat to read the paper on the porch without the sun blinding me.
