Description
Make a beautiful oasis from the heat and sun with our Coral Coast 9 ft. Offset Umbrella. This large offset umbrella is just right by the pool or spa, or on the patio. Enjoy family meals or conversation with friends under the cool shade of this Coral Coast Offset Umbrella. For additional shade, add this umbrella to larger outdoor dining tables that don't accommodate umbrellas or have hard-to-reach umbrella holes.
A sturdy aluminum pole is finished in a nice, neutral bronze color and topped off with a spun-polyester cover in a variety of complementing colors. The canopy conveniently opens and closes by using a crank-lift system. This grandly scaled umbrella can provide shade for a dining table up to 54 inches long. Please take into consideration that this umbrella does not rotate.
Please note that the concrete blocks to weigh the base down are not included with this umbrella; we recommend that each concrete block weigh at least 50 pounds and measure 18 x 18 inches. We recommend a total minimum weight of 200 lbs., more for windier areas. Paving stones or other blocks for this purpose can be purchased at most hardware or garden stores. The four legs on this base are not removable. The pole diameter is 2 inches and the base measures 39.5 inches by 39.5 inches. Value-priced, this umbrella comes with a 6-month warranty.
The umbrella base is positioned at a slight angle - 88 degrees on the backside - to allow for proper weight distribution when the umbrella is opened.

We have seven other matching sunshades on our screened pool lanai here in southwest Florida. This offset umbrella is an attractive addition on our pool deck, and specifically provides shade over our hot tub. It appears sturdy enough to do the job - and is inexpensive enough to replace once it begins to age. Also, I cut a 2" corner off the pavers and they come together nicely at the center, and lay squarely in the tracks of the base. If we find that it becomes unstable in a wind or downpour, I would probably lay another layer of pavers on top of the existing ones.

I ordered Tuscan color. It looks pretty. The instruction is not clear but set up is not hard. Overall the umbrella looks good as picture, but the way to hook umbrella(top) and the gear (top part hold it) relies on only a nylon strip. I wondered how long it will last after you open/close many times. Also, it's not heavy. Wind blow can change its direction.

These umbrellas work perfectly in our backyard. The were easy to put together and shade the space that needed the shade. I especially like how easy they are to open, close, and turn to the side when not in use.

This umbrella seems to be a very good value. The umbrella and pole are sturdy and pretty easy to operate. I'll withold judgement on the crank mechanism because we haven't really use it yet. If it ever gets warm and sunny we'll try it out!
The instructions that come with the umbrella are no help in the asembly. Two of the parts are similarly named and they are not labeled on the diagrams. Despite reading the instructions several times I ended up doing the assembly based on a somewhat small overall picture provided. Since all the pole parts are connected by the cord that raises the umbrella it would be best to have two people for assembly.
Shipping was excellent. The order arrived in two days...before
the tracking was updated.

For the price we paid, I think we had a good deal, I am buing these umbrellas for my restaurant patio every year, because every year I have to replace 2 or 3. They break quite easy, especialy during windy weather. But again, for the price we pay -it is worth it.
