Stylish, functional and full of great features, the Treasure Garden 8.5-ft. Square Offset Patio Umbrella is a Hayneedle exclusive. Not only can you only get it here, but we also ship it the next day so you'll be enjoying it in no time. Aside from its unique square shape, this umbrella has many other attractive qualities. Its offset design makes it perfect for shading a conversation set, but it's just as appropriate with a dining set. It features an aluminum pole in powder-coated bronze and solution-dyed Obravia shade colors in this season's hottest trends. The umbrella opens via crank and can be manually tilted to the left and the right so the sun is always blocked.

Please note that the concrete blocks to weigh the base down are not included with this umbrella. We recommend that each concrete block weigh at least 50 pounds and measure 18 x 18 inches. We recommend a total minimum weight of 200 lbs., more for windier areas. Paving stones or other blocks for this purpose can be purchased at most hardware or garden stores. The four legs on this base are not removable.

It has only been a few months, but the umbrella has worked out perfectly and we have no regrets. It covers a small seating area in our yard and only takes a few seconds to retract and secure for bad weather. Sometimes it is just a little thing that makes a product standout and I was so glad to see that it came with a protective cover that was more than just a selling point. It drops right over the whole assembly very easily and zips closed in seconds. It easily goes back into the pouch without having to know any special folding tricks. Also a very thoughtful touch is the set of rods to lift the cover on and off. Thankfully, there are more companies that are following the "it just works" mantra these days.

So I bought one of these. It was awesome. So great that I wanted another. I ordered it, and it received beaten up beyond belief. I took pictures of it because it was so manhandled. Sure enough, it was missing all the important hardware to put it together as well as the instructions. The first umbrella was also missing the instructions, but it's not that hard to figure out. The hardware, however...
So I called Hayneedle. Wonderful customer service. Kind of annoying that the company won't ship replacement parts both because it will likely take longer and because it seems like a gigantic waste, but, oh well. They took care of ordering me a new one and setting up the return of the old one. Again, annoying that I have to go through the trouble of repackaging a damaged product, but otherwise, a good purchase. Crossing my fingers for a complete umbrella.

Hope we have good luck with it, it looks beautiful. Just purhased the 18" patio blocks, I think it was worth it....plus the cover and a rod to take off the cover. I'll let you know later how it with stands winds.
