I looked for several months and even called home depot to ask about the quality of these island bars and it was the answer that I got from the kitchen designer that help me make my choice because he verified the quality and the beauty of this product.

This item surpassed my expectations on quality and appearance. It is solid and well made. The oak top is beautiful. Assembly instructions were straightforward but as I was not planning on using this as an island, but rather against a wall, I had to reverse the top so that the breakfast bar was on the same side as the doors. After a few changes, the finished product looked great under my cabinets. My only suggestion would be for the manufacturer to replace the round metal pegs that hold up the shelves with flat-end pegs, which create better support. Overall, this is one purchase I don't regret!
