Let me start by admitting that I'm a furniture snob as a result of working in a high-end furniture store for several years. I usually buy pricey, solid wood, fully assembled furniture from stores like Ethan Allen. In this case I wanted something functional and inexpensive, yet still good looking, for our spare room. I've made several purchases from Hayneedle and generally trust its brand selection and customer reviews. I'm very pleased with this purchase. The piece arrived quickly and was packed well enough to avoid damage from where the box was cut into. I was able to assemble it by myself in about an hour and had no problems following the directions. The end result was a great looking piece with good fit and finish - especially considering the price. You have to look closely to realize that it's an assembled piece.
