DECK CHAIR CERTAINLY LOOKS LIKE ONE OF THE ORIGINAL DESIGNS FROM THE PAST. THIS MODEL MADE IN VIETNAM OF ACACIA WOOD INSTEAD OF TEAK OR MAHOGANY LIKE THE ORIGINALS. THE FINISH OF THE WOOD IS SOMEWHAT ROUGH AND PROBABLY NEEDS MORE PLANING OR SANDING. THE WOOD APPEARS TO HAVE HAD A STAIN APPLIED BUT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE EVEN AS THERE ARE LIGHT AND DARK AREAS. ALSO THE STYROFOAM PACKAGING ENDED UP BONDING SOMEHOW WITH THE WOOD AND HAD TO BE SCRAPED OFF IN PLACES.ALSO ONE OF THE FASTENERS WAS PUT IN CROOKED BUT DID NOT AFFECT OPERATION. IS COMFORTABLE VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE LOOKS NICE BUT I FEEL WAS HASTILY ASSEMBLED BY PEOPLE OF QUESTIONABLE SKILLS.. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND WITH RESERVATIONS. WOULD HAVE THEM EXAMINE WORKMANSHIP. I BOUGHT TWO OF THE DECK CHAIRS AND QUALITY WAS THE SAME ON BOTH.

The chairs look great! When they arrived, they were partially assembled, the foot rest was not on but the rest was mostly put together. Some of the bolts and nuts were not on or tight all of the way, and one of the bolts was too short. While the allen wrenches were included, they did not fit all of the bolts, especially not the ones that were loose.

Don't be persuaded by the advertising language - this chair won't withstand even normal exposure, let alone the harshest elements, and won't look like new year after year. The brown finish is flaking off both chairs I purchased just one year ago. They look terrible and need complete refinishing. And too bad for you. Unless you're planning to use them indoors, don't even bother to consider buying these chairs.
