Perfect answer for shade

By Joan

from Inver Grove Hts., MN

Verified Buyer

Pros

  • Easy To Install
  • Quick delivery
  • Umbrella Stays Stationery
  • Well made and sturdy

Cons

  • none

Best Uses

  • Anywhere There Is Wind
  • Provides shade

Comments about Deck/Dock Umbrella Pole Bracket:

Product is sturdy enough to support our umbrella in the wind that whips up our hill towards our deck. We love that the umbrella is now off the deck. We always had problems with the umbrella turning in the table because of the wind. So, no one has to "duck" the umbrella anymore!

Comments about Deck/Dock Umbrella Pole Bracket:

I installed it yesterday and it seems to be very sturdy. It was easy to install with 3" x 5/16 galvanized lag screws. The numerous holes in the bracket make it easy to install.

This is a great product. It does exactly what is said and I installed it under 30 minutes. I used it for an umbrella over my grill and I will buy more for torches that I bought. Thank you for a great product.

    Patio Pole Perfection

    By Mac of New Brighton

    from Minnesota

    Pros

    • Attractive
    • Durable
    • Easily Installed
    • Highly functional
    • High quality material

    Cons

      Best Uses

      • Flag pole
      • Patio umbrella

Comments about Deck/Dock Umbrella Pole Bracket:

This bracket is extremely well designed.
The bracket is used to hold a patio umbrella, or a flag pole. It comes in two parts, or two brackets, designed to securely hold the pole on a standard deck post. The brackets are made of an attractive brushed grey galvanized steel that is rust resistant.
The brackets hold the flag or umbrella in a high wind. People are used to umbrella stands that tip over an entire table when the wind comes. Hah! These hold the pole firmly, but allow some sway.
I installed Pole Lock myself, and I am not a great handyman. Not by any means. Simply drill a 5/8 inch pilot hole through a strong corner post, marking carefully, and then drill a second. Use two 5/8 inch carriage bolts (make sure you get ones long enough) and lock these down with nuts. The bracket is then firm and in place.
I like that they are designed to nest (the top one) under the lip of a standard deck rail. Somebody thought hard about this design. The result is attractive, simple, strong, and allows us to put our umbrella up and enjoy the deck in all sorts of weather, for grilling, or just sitting in a light rain.
I admire ingenuity, and here it is.

      yes and no

      By Steven

      from MOYOCK,NC

      Verified Buyer

Comments about Deck/Dock Umbrella Pole Bracket:

I like the overall product and it's use compared to buying an expensive umbrella stand. I feel I saved money in that aspect. However the installation directions are puzzling. We ended up coming up with our own solution for installation. It looks great attached to the fence around the pool. I ended up ordering another one!

      Good quality and unique

      By Jacqueline

      from BETHEL PARK,PA

      Verified Buyer

Comments about Deck/Dock Umbrella Pole Bracket:

These two brackets are sturdy and sufficient to stabilize my patio umbrella. The package informs the consumer of the recommended hardware to use to install but does not enclose this hardware nor provide detailed directions for doing so. I was disappointed in this lack of information and as a result have delayed the actual installation process.
