We purchased this storage bench in white to store our daughter's toys in her room, and after we received it, we ordered another one in black to keep in our family room to store toys. My husband put together the first bench with no problem, and I assembled the second bench with ease as well in about 40 minutes. It is easier to assemble if you have two people, but it is definately "do-able" single handed. It is small, so if you are looking for a large toybox this may not do the trick, but it is perfect for what we ordered it for. The lid closes slowly so little fingers will not get pinched. We would recommend this product to others--it would be great to store other items as well, as it does not look like a toybox.

I bought this storage chest for my daughters room, she's only three months old but I figured it's better to have a place for her toys now. Although this is piece is very nice looking it is really a lot smaller than it looked on the picture. The only reason I'm keeping it is because it matches her bedroom furniture so well.
Another problem with this piece is that when I opened the box it had a very strong odor. Not sure if it is the paint they used on this product but that odor is horrible and VERY VERy strong. It has been three days and the smell is overwhelming my daughters room to the point where I had to open up all the windows, it is dead of winter. Oh another bonus to this piece is that it is VERY easy to assemble. It took me 20 minutes to put it together without any assistance from my husband, who usually has to finish assembly projects for me.

The box is nice, but it has a real strong smell, chemical or veneer smell. 4 days to air out and I can still smell it. I hope it will go away. The box was easy to put together, although there were some scratches on it already , on the inside. I didn't mind too much since the scratches were only visable inside the box. If I knew how strong the smell would be I would have not bought this.
