Starting with the birth of his son Sam in 1947, first-time parent Louis Shamie founded Delta Children’s Products as a way to help provide other new families with high-quality essentials for them and their children. When his first grandchild was born in 1984, Mr. Shamie took his efforts one step further, and in a single day was able to receive a patent for a crib design that could be assembled without hooks, screws or tools.
