The Melissa and Doug Childrens Deluxe Standing Easel lets your little artist exercise his or her creativity. It features a chalkboard on one side, and a wipe-off board on the other; both of which are non-magnetic. Both drawing surfaces measure 24H x 21W inches. We especially like the three height options, which make it possible for children of different ages and sizes to stand comfortably as they paint or draw. A roll of paper will conveniently attach to the locking paper roll holder located on the horizontal braces. When kids are done, a paper tear guide ensures a clean cut sheet. Hang their artwork on the fridge or use the handy included clips to let them display their masterpieces with pride right on the easel! When it's time to clean up, this durable hardwood easel folds for convenient and efficient storage, and the supply trays slide off for easy cleaning.
This item is just the easel, but you have the option to purchase an Accessory Companion Set, filled with all sorts of fun items for your little artist.

This easel is wonderful and I had shopped around a lot looking at several. The best part is that it has 2 working surfaces-- we have 2 children (4 & 2) and this eliminates fighting and arguing. They play with this for hours-- with crayons, with markers, chalk, and with paint. We have even taken it outdoors, which makes clean-up easier. It's very sturdy and has 3 heights-- our son is tall so this is very good! The only thing that would make it better is if there were some way to secure the paper roll better so that it doesn't unravel so much (we use clips at the top right now, but a little arm or something) and it would be great if there was a way to secure a second roll of paper to go out the other side. Currently, we use masking tape to tape white paper on the chalk board as well as the white board so both children can work at the same time.
It was money well spent and plan on getting a lot of use from it over the next few years.

I purchased this easel and the accessory kit for my 2 granddaughters for their birthdays next month. I have not opened any of it nor will I until I give it to them, so a definitive rating must wait until then. I will tell you why I bought it: (1) the 2 sided capabilities for 2 children to use at the same time (less arguing); (2) the adjustable height capabilities. (My granddaughters are only 2 & 3y/o, but I see them being able to use this in the future as well); (3)the stability LOOKS to be satisfactory; (4) the mutiple art medium capabilities
