As beautiful to touch as it is to sit in, this Dutailier Sleigh Glider - Espresso & Velvet Beige is a masterpiece of design. The rich velvet beige microfiber fabric is soft as a kitten's ear. You'll love sinking into the plush removable cushions and padded arms, thickly pleated for extra cush. The strong, all-wood construction has a very dark, elegant espresso finish that's non-toxic. Natural wood texture is visible through this multi-layered stain. Glide to nature's most basic rhythm, restorative for adults and soothing to babies. Exceeds all safety standards and has no sharp edges so it's kid-safe, too. Assembles easily. The standard glider features are included in option level Silver, and exciting additional glider features are available in the Gold and Platinum option levels. Add the padded gliding ottoman with matching velvet beige fabric (not included) for endless peace.

About Dutailier's Silver, Gold, and Platinum Levels
Customize your Dutailier glider with these luxurious option levels:
Silver delivers the legendary ergonomic seat and back, adjustable seat and back height, and integrated sinuous spring support for maximum comfort. Patented GLIDE-R-Motion technology allows smooth, extra-long gliding on top-quality ball bearings.
Gold glider option includes all of the Silver level features and adds the Multiposition mechanism which allows you to lock your glider in six stable positions. Lock it back for reading, forward for comfortable TV watching. Multiposition lock holds the glider still so it's easier to sit in or rise out of the chair.
Platinum includes all of the above features, plus Dutailier's patented Smooth Recliner Motion, allowing the back to be reclined any amount up to 18 sleepy degrees. Lean it back and put your feet on a gliding ottoman for heavenly rest and relaxation.

The arm pads are not attached to anything so you slip your hand right through (I didn't like that) the wood looks about black so if you're wanting brown, don't get it. Is comfortable and glides nice though. For the money, it's a decent buy. The bottom pad and top pad are slightly diff shades of ivory! Very easy to assemble

We ordered this chair after 7 weeks of not having a glider and realizing that we no longer wanted to rock him to sleep in our arms anymore. Our neighbors had this chair and I thought it was incredibly comfortable. Ideally, we wanted a glider/rocker that looked like an upholstered chair so we could use it in our recreation room after it was no longer needed in the nursery. Unfortunately our incredibly narrow staircases precluded us from ordering these types of larger chairs. This chair is narrow and saves space in our small nursery, but is incredibly comfortable for both myself (5'6") and my husband (6'). We did not get the ottoman because of space constraints, and so far we don't need it. We also got the 'gold' level and really like the locking mechanism, both for safety and for comfort. The fabric is very soft and wipes down easily. It was incredibly easy to assemble (came in only two pieces plus the cushions which snapped or velcroed on. My father is extremely handy and does a lot of his own woodwork and commented on the solid and high quality construction of this chair. I would definitely recommend this chair if your budget allows for it.

This chair was a gift for our nursery from the grandmas. Unfortunately it arrived broken. I contacted customer service right away, they were very nice and so helpful- especially for a Saturday! The return was so easy! All we had to do was print out a return shipping label and schedule a pickup from FedEx, which was all super easy to do online. No charge for return shipping! I scheduled the pick up for Monday morning and by that evening I had the return confirmation email with the store credit so I could order a replacement that night! So easy and fast! I was expecting the return/ credit process to take at least a week. Even better, the order confirmation email had an estimated delivery date of July 19 but it arrived on July 7! WOW!
We are so happy with the chair! After trying out so many different brands and getting recommendations, we knew it was worth it to spend the money on a Dutalier. The chair is beautiful and it was so easy to put together and is very, very comfortable for both me and my husband. It's perfect for our nursery. We are singing the praises of both Dutalier and justnurserygliders.com! Thank you!

Now I can read in the den while the TV's on in the livingroom. My only suggestion is to make sure you choose the right color scheme to match the decor. I chose velvet beige that blends in instead of contrasting so the next glider will be in velvet taupe. You need to call Canada to purchase cushions only - couldnt find it on the website.
