It felt very cheaply made and was extremely hard. Changing it into a bed from a sofa was also not as easy as it should be. If you are a budget conscious shopper, I would recommend spending an extra hundred bucks on a sofabed with better quality.

After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to order this futon, but now I am glad I took the chance. It was the length I could use and most other futons were longer. It finally arrived after several delays with the delivery company. I scheduled the delivery date online and the time came and went with no delivery. When I called they couldn't find it. The next morning I called back and it was located and scheduled again. This time the delivery was cancelled for snow. (can't blame them for the weather), but they wouldn't schedule then for another 2 days. Well it was finally arrived, and the 2 men bringing were helpful and brought it all the way in the house. (we tipped them too!). It looks very nice, it seems confortable enough to nap or sleep on. It is not the most comfortable bed in the world but I think it is acceptable for a night or so. In our case it will be primarily used when the grand children come over. anyone else not happy with sleeping on it can certainly go to a local Hotel. :) I have it in my home office and it looks really nice with my dark wood desk furniture. I am happy with my selection. It is much sturdier than most of the low end futons. You would have to invest twice a much to get a better quality, I think.

We purchased this convertible sofa to serve as a seating space for an infrequently used area in our home in hopes it could double as a guest bed. It looks great in the room. However, it is extremely uncomfortable so using it as a guest sleeping bed may not work out. It doesn't offer much cushion or padding.

For the price, this is the perfect sofa for the big kids upstairs TV and game room. It isn't the most comfortable for me, but for kids it is fine. I like the cup holders and the fact it is convertible into a bed. Just what we needed and at a great price.
