Assembly

Start off with the 2 long beams (they are marked on the inside) and place them on the flat ground. Then get the planks (each one of them is numbered) and start from one end of the beams and match the number on the planks with the same number location that is on the beam, working your way to the other end. Look at the numbers and the lines that have been drawn to show you the correct location of all the parts. After you have all the planks screwed to the beams, start with the posts, which are numbered for correct locations. Also, bolt the posts on using a 9/16 wrench, looking at the trace lines for correct locations. Get the rails, looking at the correct numbers for correct locations. Screw the rails on the center post first -- you might need two people to do this, or better yet, a C clamp on one end, and then GENTLY pull down to where the trace lines are. Screw in place .

Comments about Emerson Redwood Garden Bridge:

My mother-in-law and dog go back and forth between yards. This bridge provides long term access and is sturdy, weather resistant, insect resistant and helps bring attractiveness to the landscaping we had done. We are pleased with the ease of assembly and heavy traffic it can handle.
        I would buy again.

        Customer Q & A

        4 Questions About This Product
Q: "Will the weight capacity be the same for all sizes?"
A: This durable California redwood made garden bridge will have a standard weight capacity of 750 Lbs for all sizes.
Q: "Does sealed vs. unsealed affect longevity?"
A: No matter if this garden bridge is sealed or unsealed, it will not affect the longevity of the bridge. If you seal the wood, it will just preserve and enhance the red color. If you leave it unsealed, the bridge will age to an attractive gray/silver over time.
Q: "How do you prepare the site?"
A: To install this aesthetically pleasing garden bridge, the place for installation must be level. We recommend using pea gravel, flagstone or something similar to elevate bridge away from damp dirt.
Q: "How wide relative to the channel you're crossing?"
A: For all bridges, we recommend the actual length of the bridge needs to be at least 2' longer than the ditch/stream you are crossing. So we recommend for there to be at least 1' on each side.
