Very impressed with my first purchase from Hayneedle. I ordered this pit on Wednesday morning and it arrived by Friday afternoon. Very easy to track through link to FedEx. It arrived nicely packaged with no damages. The directions were hard to follow as to which direction the brackets (that hold the screen) should be placed. The direction sheet was hard to see details because it appeared to be a photocopy. Other that that minor glitch, the rest of the assembly went well and took about 20 minutes. The actual pit is deep and will hold a lot of fire wood. There are four raised metal areas that will elevate the wood. This is perfect for a large patio area. It is light enough to move easily, but durable as well. The portion that holds the copper rail was much better than the picture because it had a blend of the copper, along with the darker bronze for an excellent contrast. I plan to use this in mid to late fall for evenings on the patio while serving drinks and appetizers.
I searched a few other websites to find a comparable fire pit and this was by far the best price and product. Now, I need to find a cover to protect it from rain. It will be stored in the garage during the warmer months.

It is so lightweight and the metal so thin, it doesn't appear strong enough to be safe, but I guess it is according to the other reviews. I was also expecting a grate and there is a place for one, but I didn't read close enough and I imagine I could find one to fit. I would return it if I hadn't already put it together. It was also missing a nut that I am going to have to find. I haven't used it so don't know about the heat output. And, I guess it being so light will make it easier to pick up and empty...looking for something good to say.

DON'T buy this one when Hayneedle has so many others to choose from! Flimsy design and the bolts they send to secure the legs to the actual bowl are the wrong size. And even if they were the right size the bottom hole for the bolt is right next to the risers they have bolted to the bottom of the bowl so that the wood doesn't rest directly on the bottom. Some guy in China is laughing at me right now as I stare at this thing. It's going back Monday.

The mesh top does not fit perfectly. I have to turn a certain way to fit. Also, the welding on the base was not well done. You can see cracks or see through to the bottom. I hope it holds up.
The appearance is very nice, just nervous about the longevity.

Very happy with the fire pit but when received it comes with a cover. No indaction there was a cover so ordered the one in the add.
So be advised mine came with a cover and no need to order one as I did.
