To make absolutely certain that all residual solvent is gone, you should burn a normal fire in the pit. After this first fire, the pit is primed and ready for cooking.

We really like the look and it was very easy to assemble. The pit puts out great heat! Our only problem was the cover. It rained and the pit filled with water.
