Description
FurnaceFilters.com High Capacity Pleated Furnace Filters are MERV 8 rated according to ASHRAE 52.2 standards and available in 1-inch, 2-inch, and 4-inch depths. The electrostatically charged, 100 percent synthetic, graduated density media is continuously bonded to a 30-gauge galvanized, corrosion-resistant, expanded metal support grid with an effective open area of 96 percent. The media is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, does not absorb moisture, and will not support microbial growth.
The controlled pleat spacing maximizes surface area and dust-holding capacity and is bonded to the enclosure frame to prevent dust bypass. The enclosure frame is constructed of high wet-strength, moisture-resistant beverage board. The diagonal support members of the frame are bonded to the entering and exiting apexes of each pleat to prevent pleat collapse and filter bowing while preventing air bypass and providing rigidity.
1-inch depth filters: 18 pleats per linear foot; 2-inch depth filters: 12 pleats per linear foot; 4-inch depth filters: 11 pleats per linear foot

I have a lot of animals in house and have to replace my furnace filter every month. These filters are great because I can buy six at a time for the price of two at the local hardware store. They seem to work just as well as the more expensive filters. The only problem I have is there isn't a lot of labeling so it's a little difficult to tell which side is front and which side is back.

my house is a construction zone in a moderate climate. as of yet the weather hasn't required the furnace, but i'm hoping the product will be a success. i did have a problem with the lack of information on the website and their support staff, but once i was referred to the manufacturer for support all of my specification questions were answered. I probably ask more questions than most since i'm in the field.
