Last year (2009) I bought this unit and a table top unit. I like both but really prefer the full size better because I have to remove the umbrella to place the table top unit. I just bought a second full size unit this year. I keep one on my deck and one on my lower patio. I'll still use the table top one if I know we're going to be hanging out around the table, and if the sun has already passed. I think the heating range is decent. It is 7-8 feet on either side of the unit. Assembly was easy.

It was a laborious job to take off all the vinyl film that protects the stainless steel surface. The heating is adequate, and it is easy to use. The cover that came with the unit was very disappointing. One of the wheels came off the first time we used it. If you expect a top of the line product, this is not. If you are on a budget but looking for a smart patio heater, it's a contender.

This was my first purchase of a patio heater. It works very well on cool fall nights and I would recommend this product to anyone looking to purchase a patio heater. Spend the extra money and a buy this stainless steel patio heater if you would a heater that lasts for years. I would, however recommend buying a Veranda cover for the heater because the free cover only covers the dome.
