Used throughout history in the sturdy construction of piers, railroad bridges, ships and boats, cypress is now a favorite for outdoor furniture. Its watertightness is of great benefit to outdoor furniture. Richey's southern cypress lumber is kiln-dried then crafted into beautiful furniture pieces. It doesn't normally check or warp as many softer woods do, so it will stand the test of time. Southern Cypress contains a natural preservative, cypressene, which further enhances its durability. It takes and holds stains and paints longer than other woods, so it's a perfect choice for Richey's Cottage Classics line.

Very well made and easy to assemble. Received it excellent condition and 6 days before expected arrival. I put a coat of linseed oil on before assembly, wish that had been done already, I just hate painting.

The delivery was quick. Ordered Wednesday eve and it was at my home Saturday am. I opened the box and was surprised that it was built so well. Used an oil based natural stain. No defects and was very sturdy. Fast and easy install. I love love my swing.

We haven't gotten it out of the box, or put together, but just looking at it in the box makes us smile, we are getting ready to select stain and decide where to hang it. We have wanted one like this for SO long and just couldn't find it; and as per This Old House - we intend to hang it with rope! Thanks a million swings ~
