Comments about Boomer & George Haven Chicken Coop:

The coop came poorly packaged and had been banged around quite a bit. As I dug further into the box, I found several split and damaged pieces that were obviously packaged that way. The plywood for the floor is paper thin and most likely wouldn't last a season. I would recommend you spend more on something from a different manufacturer. This one is definitely headed back.

    Good Smell

    By Mary

Comments about Boomer & George Haven Chicken Coop:

The coop arrived in almost perfect condition. The little crowning strip on top of the shingled roof was a slight problem. Most of the little staples had pulled out, but that's very fixable.
The coop wood is aromatic red cedar, the stuff that lines some storage chests. It's a wonderful smell.
The assembly was easy for my husband and went along smoothly with me just steadying a section here and there as he tapped things into place.
Naturally the old hen I bought the coop for is not impressed, but I am. I may buy a couple of pullets next week to add to the beautiful new coop.

Nice design but could be better built

It is a good looking unit. I chose to add screws and metal clips to make it stronger.

This is a great little chicken coop. Just the right fit for my four new chickens. They seem to be enjoying it.

    Poor Quality

    By Greg

Comments about Boomer & George Haven Chicken Coop:

Used screwdriver to put together, twisted the heads off of two of the screws provided, wood split at screw hole once during assembly. Very cheap hardware.
Would not recommend to anyone, espcially if you have any wind.

Comments about Boomer & George Haven Chicken Coop:

This coop is very poorly constructed. The entrance is too small for large chickens to get upstairs. It's supposed to be for 3-4+ chickens - but there is only one laying bed. There is a roosting pole - that only has one fitting - with no where for the other end to go???the chicken wire is so thin - that one simple push on it - and it blew out. The locks are tiny and flimsy. If you open one door - you can't open another. I am SOOOOOO disappointed. It will cost me another $200-300 just to shore this up and make my chickens secure. MLK
