Read a lot of reviews that said this vac was easy to use, lite weight, powerful and good on bare floors, area rugs and low pile or in/outdoor carpet. It is very easy to use, very easy to assemble and fairly lite weight. It is better on bare floors than a broom, it is OK on area rugs & runners, but not good on even low pile or outdoor carpet. BECAUSE it does not have a roller brush nor is it powerful enough to pick up stuff from even low carpet, without a roller brush. There are also no attachments and unlike some other stik vacs you can't take the vac part off and use it to spot vac furniture. So if you only need to do bare floors and some area rugs and not furniture...it's good. But if you need to do more than that & need attachments, get a regular vacuum. Also, the cup/filter on my vac was a real pain, cause all the gunk stays right up near the top and diminishes the sucking power so I have to dump it and use a brush to remove the dirt from the filter. I live in a small apartment, but I have to do this after each room!
