About Hoover
James Murray Spangler was a department store janitor in Canton, Ohio who liked to tinker with gadgets in his spare time. An asthma sufferer, Spangler believed the carpet sweeper at work was aggravating his condition. Not one to suffer in silence, Spangler took action and began making alterations and additions to the carpet sweeper design until he constructed a prototype all his own. I looked especially for a cleaner with which I could reach UNDER the beds, coffee tables, chairs, etc. With this hose, wand and nozzle, it is POSSIBLE!! Also the headlight in the power nozzle is very useful.With the extension wand and the crevice tool you can reach also everywhere. Easy to clean baseboards, ceiling corners, etc. With the carrying handle everybody can pick up this light cleaner, old and young. Emptying the dirt cup is also a piece of cake. Nice design, very functional cleaner.
