The locking hinged top door features convex glass and a removable crown of V-matched Movingue veneers. The aged dial with heavy distressing contains worn black Arabic numerals, a seconds track, and black serpentine hands. A decorative ring on the bottom door frames the convex glass to reveal the pendulum. Separate lamps illuminate the dial and pendulum.
Perhaps the most beautiful feature of this clock is the inlaid marquetry on the inset panels. It's made of reverse diamond matched Movingue veneers with inlays of Wenge, Rift Cut Red Oak, Bubinga, and Mahogany veneers.
The cable-driven Kieninger movement offers a triple chime and automatic chime shut-off for nighttime. Use adjustable levelers under each corner to make the clock stable on uneven floors and carpet. Includes heirloom record certificate with capsule, so you can record the clock's ownership for future generations. Make a splash in your entry, landing, or drawing room with this exceptionally designed, carefully crafted grandfather floor clock.
