Purchased this for my son's 47th birthday... he had just mentioned that he wanted one ... his job requires him to be on his feet all day - approx. 10 hrs a day...his children told me that their "other grandparents" had one and it was alot of fun. I have a back patio without trees so I thought this was the perfect place for a hammock with a stand. It looks terrific, and it has solid construction. The main drawback is that the wind catches the hammock easily, and is constantly being tipped over. I have to set up and take down the hammock whenever we want to use it. This doesn't go along with my idea of an ideal retreat for the few minutes a day that I have available. I would use it much more often if I didn't have to set it up and then take it back down immediately.

So easy to put together, took less than 15 minutes. Love it. So comfortable. It's big but it's great!! Got is on sale and so worth it!!!

I got the hammock with the stand and it works great. It's a little larger than I expected as far as length but it is nice looking and I can't wait to live in it with a book the remainder of the summer.
