Description
If quality is what you're seeking, look to Jack Post to provide a sturdy steel clothesline post that will last for years. The Jack Post Freshaire FT-30 Clothesline Pole mounts securely by being cemented into the ground. Simply dig a hole that is 10 inches in diameter and 24 inches deep and fill with ready-mix gravel concrete. Then mark a line on the post 12 inches up from the bottom. Insert the post into the concrete-filled hole, making sure that the 12-inch mark you made doesn't go below the concrete. This pole is 84 inches tall; 12 inches will go into the ground, leaving a 72-inch high pole above ground. Rope and accessories sold separately.

My stupid fault for not registering in my head ''ONE POLE" I assumed it would be a complete clothesline not just one side of a clothesline. Why not sell it as a complete clothesline and charge more instead of selling the product as one piece. I didn't open the box until it was installed and what a surprise. Now I'm ordering the 2nd half and will have to have the contractor come back and install the other half of the clothesline at an additional cost to me for his time. A little discouraging, plus I have to pay S/H charges once again for the "other half" of the clothesline. On a positive note its a nice quality product, but @ [$] w/includes S/H I thought I was purchasing a "complete" clothesline.

These would probably be ok if you wanted to use clothesline rope, but if you want a genuine, 9 gage wire line, these are too light weight. You will need to drill a through hole where the post sections come together and install a bolt/nut to keep the post from turning when tensioning the lines. The cross member is held in place by one eye bolt that also is for the middle line. This section wobbles up and down as there is nothing to prevent that movement. A few modifications to the manufacturing process would have improved this pole set tremendously. A fully enclosed circle to run the cross member through, for one example. Wish I had bought 24 ft of 3 1/2 inch pipe and cut/welded my own posts and cross members.
