The sophisticated Jordan Jewelry Box is one of those unique designs that works well for men and women alike. Open the lid of this box to reveal an interior mirror, along with a top tray featuring four open compartments and ring rolls. Beneath that tray is another storage area with a large section ideal for watches or bracelets. When the lid is lifted, the tray extends automatically; the bottom drawer also opens, providing yet another cache for everything from necklaces to important papers.
This jewelry box has a sleek java finish and silver-tone pearl hardware. It is hand-lined with sand-colored suede fabric and measures 10.75W x 7D x 6H inches.
About Mele
Emidio Mele, an Italian immigrant to the United States, came to New York City in 1896 and learned to make jewelry boxes as an apprentice before founding Mele Manufacturing in 1912. He began by designing and building elegant displays for jewelry store windows. His jewelry box making business grew throughout the 1900s, responding to demands for boxes to hold Purple Hearts during WWII and developing as a popular household name for quality jewelry boxes. Today Mele Jewelry Box is known as the Mele Companies, which encompass various divisions under the Mele name. Now based in Utica, N.Y., Mele still upholds the family atmosphere on which it was founded and remains America's foremost name in jewelry cases.

I could not find a plain, simple jewelry box that looked nice. I live in a modern, downtown condo and wanted something that would match my decor. I loved the finish and the simple lines. The only problem was that the pretty pearly knob fell off, but I'll glue that back on.
