I ordered this baby crib for my daughter. When her twin sister became pregnant she chose the same crib because she liked her sister's so much. It is very sturdy and well made. The drawers are nice. The only problem was getting the sticky labels off. I would recommend this lovely convertable crib.

After six months of reading reviews and anticipating getting this new 4-in-1 combo crib for my first grandson, I was highly disappointed. The panels pieces didn't match up (holes missing in the wood) and therefore was a nightmare to assemble. The parts didn't have the letters on them which would make assembling the crib easier. There was so much inconsistency with this product that I don't have enough time to share. It took more than four days and that's not including waiting on a response from the manufacture about replacing the defective parts. While the other reviews really inspired me on my purchase selection, I would NEVER recommend this bed to anyone. It has been more than stressful! The customer service reps were supportive but really couldn't do anything but pass a note onto the manufacture who took their time getting back to me. In the meantime, all of the parts are laying in the floor with the defective wood panels standing against the wall. I just hope that I can get my grandson a bed here before he arrives but right now this company is making me run so hard away from any future purchases from them. Yes, I am very unhappy right now.

Being that this crib was going to be for our first child, my wife and I (as I'm sure most parents-to-be will do) spent countless hours searching for a crib. We eventually settled on the Kalani due to the safety ratings, appearance, the fact that all of the convertable pieces (except for the adult bed rails) were included and because it was rated the highest among parents. After we picked our crib, however, we ran into an issue that we honestly didn't expect. We couldn't find a place where we felt comfortable ordering the crib. I know this review will sound like a sales pitch, and I'm sure cribs.com will probably appreciate this, but we settled on this site solely because of the customer service. After reading through the reviews for multiple cribs, we didn't see one review where a customer had any issues getting a damaged crib replaced. We ordered this crib Friday night and within three days it was here damage-free. Although assembling the crib did take some time, it wasn't really hard at all. I think I was able to put this crib together by myself in a little over 4 hours (I was too excited to wait for help). Some of the legs weren't marked but it was pretty easy to figure out which ones were which just by looking at the pictures. The same can be said of all of the accompanying hardware (bolts and screws matched the lengths on the instructions). I've heard of instances where the wood has been scratched while putting this crib together, but I didn't experience that either. In my opinion, this a beautiful, sturdy crib. Our baby hasn't arrived yet, however I don't think her being here would change our opinion on this crib (I'll update this review if it does). If she does end up scratching it, it is what it is. I realize wood is going to scratch a little and it's just like anything else you buy. If it's going to get messed up, it should be from the person buying it and not from a store sending an already damaged item. Overall we're very happy with the crib as well as with this website. I realize that my wife and I receiving this shipment damage-free could be the exception to the rule (which I would doubt just because of how our luck usually is), but the important thing for us was that we didn't stress out from worrying that it would show up damaged, because we knew we wouldn't have issues getting a replacement if it did. Because of this fact, we will be definitely be ordering from this website again.

The only reason I gave this a 4 star is because a piece of the furniture has a slight cosmetic defect. The directions for the crib were very straight forward; easy to understand and put together. The directions for the dresser however, were very complicated. The cosmetic defect was on the dresser and since it was so hard to put it together, we decided to keep it. I called the company and explained to them and they were nice enough to give me a 10% credit on my purchase. I am very impressed with their customer service.
Also, the ordering was simple, the delivery was super fast: furniture came earlier than anticipated and they are beautiful.

Shipment was fast and the best part is: No Scratches or dents whatsoever on the pieces. Each piece came in perfect and flawless condition. Cannot wait to put this together this weekend! Thanks Hayneedle and Cribs.com for the wonderful service. I read a lot of reviews from other sites regarding scratches which was my ultimate concern.
