Gorgeous Wallpaper - but some warnings

Comments about Kenneth James Lena Wood Veneers Wallpaper - 2622-30261:

This is one of the most unique wallpapers I have seen. The wood veneer is beautifully attached to a strong paper backing. It can withstand some cleaning with water while hanging, as you will inevitably get some on the front while hanging this paper.

-The wallpaper pattern is not as you would assume. The picture shown of the wallpapered wall would require you hanging the wallpaper horizontally (railroading). Because of this, we had to decide to hang it normally (strips vertically) to avoid running a 12' run horizontally and trying to cut the entire 12' run perfectly. We bought this for one accent wall to be a backdrop behind a grand piano. The horizontal orientation gives a cube look - think "Qbert" or M.C. Escher. Vertical looks more like zig-zagged patterns down.
-The paper is difficult to align. Even going vertically, aligning the patterns goes off every now and then, but works itself out in the pattern. The veneer "curls" slightly because the wood grain goes in different orientations. It can cause the wallpaper to pucker a little bit and the wallpaper paste won't always hold it down perfectly.
-The paper is difficult to fold - so if you are papering this into crown molding or baseboards, it is tough to press in with a straightedge, then cut with a sharp blade. Due to the pattern line up, I would not recommend trying to cut the top edge first.
-Hire an experienced paper hanger if you don't have deep skill. Luckily, my mother is outstanding at hanging wallpaper, but even with her skills, this was a challenge
-Clear, non-staining wallpaper paste may still slightly darken the wood veneer - do your best to keep it off and wipe it up ASAP.

I am in love with the wall we did - we also tied it into a recessed wall in our bar area nearby. I am including photos so you can visualize what the paper looks hung vertically, as many people would not want to tackle hanging an incredibly difficult paper horizontally.
