Comments about La Crosse Alerts Wireless Monitor System Set with Dry Probe - 926-25101-GP:
The instructions for installation are bad. A clear statement about passwords at the beginning would have been helpful e.g. "You will require 2 passwords for the installation process. Write them down NOW. 1 for the registration process with La Crosse and a 2nd for the access to the device Probe itself. The following pages are the written instructions only with samples of installation pages that are NOT active. They are NOT active installation pages themselves. You will need to pan through these instruction to arrive at the actual installation pages and begin the installation"
After an hour struggling with pages that didn't respond, I spent well over another hour on the phone with the La Crosse rep. without success. Next day I decided to try installation one more time... from the beginning now knowing the the instruction pages were samples of the installation pages NOT the installation pages themselves. Up and running in less than 15 mins.
End product is exactly what I was looking for. The device itself is on the attic floor, The probe is at the attic apex. Now I know when to turn on my 2 whole house fans and when to turn them off.
